Wife of Croatian President Sanja Musić Milanović Visits Mater Dei Hospital in Malta
The wife of the President of the Republic of Croatia Zoran Milanović, Prof. Sanja Musić Milanović, PhD, visited Malta in the scope of the President of the Republic’s State visit to the Republic of Malta. Her activities during the State visit included, among others, a visit to the Maltese Mater Dei Hospital.
After a meeting with the Hospital’s Chief Executive Director Mrs. Celia Falzon, she toured in the company of the wife of the President of the Republic of Malta Mrs. Miriam Vella, the bacteriological and molecular laboratories where she was acquainted with their contemporary working methods. During her tour, Prof. Sanja Musić Milanović, PhD, discussed good practices of the Croatian and Maltese health systems in solving the problem of obesity with Prof. Neville Calleja, Head of the Public Health Department of the Ministry of Health.
Also participating at a subsequent working meeting with Prof. Sanja Musić Milanović, PhD, and Mrs. Miriam Vella were Dr. Chris Barbara, visiting senior lecturer of Pathology at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Dr. Zahra Graziella, Head of the Molecular Laboratory, and Mrs. Angela Spiteri, wife of the Ambassador of the Republic of Malta to the Republic of Croatia.
Prof. Sanja Musić Milanović, PhD, also accompanied the President of the Republic of Croatia during a visit to St. John’s Co-cathedral in Valletta and at a tree planting ceremony in San Anton Palace gardens in Attard.
