President Pahor Donates Apiary to Zagreb Zoo

The President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor ended his state visit to the Republic of Croatia at the Zagreb Zoo, where he donated an apiary in lasting memory of his visit.

In the presence of the President of the Republic of Croatia Zoran Milanović and the Mayor of Zagreb Tomislav Tomašević, the President of the Republic of Slovenia emphasized the importance of nature and wildlife conservation and sustaining their coexistence with humans. World Bee Day was proclaimed at the initiative of the Republic of Slovenia. Zagreb Zoo Director Damir Skoko expressed his gratitude to President Pahor for the donation.

Before visiting the Zagreb Zoo and after attending the forum “Business Meets Politics – Energetika danas i sutra” [Energy Today and Tomorrow] at the Westin Zagreb Hotel, the two Presidents promenaded through downtown Zagreb in the company of the Mayor of Zagreb Tomislav Tomašević and the Rector of the University of Zagreb Dr. Stjepan Lakušić.
