The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović met with a delegation of the Municipality of Malinska – Dubašnica, composed of Head of Municipality Robert Anton Kraljić, Chair of the Municipal Council Mirjana Maršić, Co-chair of the Municipal Council Zdenko Cerović and the municipality’s legal adviser Đorđe Perković.

Representatives of the Municipality of Malinska – Dubašnica requested a meeting with the President in order to inform him about the situation at the hotel and resort complex of Haludovo, which has stood dilapidated and abandoned for more than 20 years and which, they warned, poses a sanitary, environmental and security threat. Haludovo is privately owned, but to date its reconstruction has not begun, although the municipality has adopted a detailed development plan that has been in force since 2006 and, according to the municipal representatives, provides all necessary preconditions for starting reconstruction.

The Head of the Municipality of Malinska – Dubašnica and his associates informed President Milanović about the Haludovo privatization process that was undertaken, and about all other activities they have performed to date to make the start of reconstruction possible. They provided him with an overview of the documentation in this respect. They also informed him about the municipality’s initiative to abolish the detailed Haludovo development plan as part of the upcoming amendments to the Spatial Plan, if construction does not commence. They asked for support from the President of the Republic in order for the issue of the Haludovo complex to finally start being resolved.
