The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović spent the day in Bjelovar-Bilogora County where he visited “Suvenir Arbor“, an institution for the professional rehabilitation and employment of disabled persons in the Municipality of Sirač. He also held a meeting with representatives of the Coordination of councils and representatives of national minorities of Bjelovar-Bilogora County, and the Federation of Czechs in the Republic of Croatia, and toured the construction site of the new building of the General Hospital in Bjelovar.

After touring the construction site of the new building of the General Hospital in Bjelovar President Milanović told reporters that this is currently the biggest and most valuable healthcare facility being built in the Republic of Croatia, thanks to Bjelovar-Bilogora County Prefect Damir Bajs. He expressed regrets that since the 1990s only two general hospitals were built in Croatia, namely in Zabok and Pula. “Only the County is behind this project. This hospital was in a very poor state and the issue was whether to close it or continue to work. I expect the state to get involved. This is one of the projects that did not go over the budget”, President Milanović noted.
