President Milanović Tours Špancirfest in Varaždin
The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović visited Varaždin where he toured the Špancirfest street festival, one of the biggest and most popular cultural and tourism events in the country, for which Varaždin is known also outside Croatia, and is being held for the 25th consecutive time.
During the ten-day festival, the streets, squares and parks of Varaždin have been turned into stages for music, theatre and dance performances and open-air ateliers, with rich exhibition and gastronomical offerings. President Milanović visited the exhibitors on Kapucinski, Franjevački and King Tomislav squares as well as on Ljudevit Gaj street.
Accompanying the President Milanović during his visit were the hosts from Varaždin and Varaždin County: Mayor Neven Bosilj and Deputy Mayor Miroslav Marković, the President of the Municipal Council of Varaždin Lovro Lukavečki, the President of Varaždin County Assembly Josip Križanić, Member of Parliament for Varaždin Barbara Antolić Vupora and the Director of the Varaždin Tourism Board Jelena Toth.
Accompanying President Milanović was the Adviser to the President for Human Rights and Civil Society Melita Mulić.
