President Milanović Tours “Martinje in Nedelišće” Event
The President of the Republic, Zoran Milanović, visited Nedelišće today, municipality in Međimurje, where the “Martinje in Nedelišće” event was organized for the 18th time. The goal of this event is to advance the economic and tourist offer, present the activities of numerous associations and family farms in the municipality.
Accompanied by the event’s organizers, Mayor of the Municipality of Nedelišće Nikola Novak, representative of the Tourist Board of the “Heart of Međimurje” area Jasna Hajdinjak, County-prefect of Međimurje County Matija Posavec and Mayor of the Municipality of Petrijanec Željko Posavec, President Milanović visited the exhibitors and stands in the fair hall of the Međimurje Entrepreneurship Fair – MESAP. Traditionally, members of the Međimurje Winegrowers’ and Winemakers’ Association “Klub Vinoljub” from Nedelišće, as well as numerous associations and family farms, presented their wines at the exhibition.
After visiting the exhibitors, President Milanović also attended the traditional “baptism” ceremony of the must, which symbolically marks the transition of the must into new wine.
Alongside President Milanović was the Special Adviser to the President for the Economy Velibor Mačkić.
