During the Summit, the Heads of State and Government of NATO members will also discuss relations between NATO and Ukraine, including Ukraine’s aspirations for membership in the Alliance. During the Summit, a meeting will also be held with the leaders of the European Union, Australia, Japan, New Zealand and the Republic of Korea. The NATO Summit will conclude with the inaugural session of the NATO-Ukraine Council.
On the second day of his stay in Lithuania, after the conclusion of the Summit, President Milanović will visit Croatian troops at the NATO base in Rukla. Croatian soldiers there are participating in NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence mission and there are currently 180 members of the Croatian Armed Forces stationed in Rukla.
