President Milanović to Participate in European Union Summit of Heads of State in Portugal
The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović will participate in a summit of heads of state of the “Arraiolos Group” to be held in Porto, Portugal. The presidents of 14 European Union Member States will have two working meetings where they will discuss the situation in the European Union and in Ukraine, the upcoming European Parliament elections, and other challenges facing the European Union.
This is the 18th edition of the Summit of heads of state of the “Arraiolos Group”, which is held every year in a different European Union Member State. Since the “Arraiolos Group” is made up of presidents who do not have executive powers in their states, the meetings will focus on strategic and long-term issues that are important for the European Union and the Member States. Alongside the President of Portugal who is the host, the presidents of Croatia, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Poland, Bulgaria, Estonia, Greece, Latvia and Malta will participate at the Summit in Porto.
