The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović will participate in a summit of heads of state of the Brdo-Brijuni Process that will be held this year in the Montenegrin town of Tivat. President Milanović will participate in the summit in his capacity as co-chairman of the Brdo-Brijuni Process together with the President of the Republic of Slovenia Nataša Pirc Musar.

At the Tivat summit, the heads of state, participants of the Brdo-Brijuni Process, will discuss strengthening regional stability and cooperation, accelerating the process of accession to the European Union of South-East Europe countries, the retention of young people through better opportunities and adaptation to the goals of the European Green Plan.

Meetings at the summit of the Brdo-Brijuni Process have been held for years at the initiative of Croatia and Slovenia as members of the European Union, with the aim of improving mutual cooperation between countries in South-East Europe and accelerating the process of European integration of the remaining countries in the region, some of which are already negotiating membership in the European Union or have candidate status for EU membership.

Ahead of the summit meeting, President Milanović will meet and talk with representatives of associations of Croats in Montenegro on Monday in Donja Lastva.
