President Milanović Sees Off Croatian Troops to Mission in Poland: Protect the image and reputation of Croatia
“Protect the image and reputation of Croatia, it was hard-earned. Wherever you go fly the Croatian flag. You are regarded as Croatian soldiers and representatives of Croatia,” the President of the Republic and Commander in Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces Zoran Milanović told members of the 11th contingent of Croatian troops, who are heading to the Republic of Poland to join NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence military force – HRVCON eFPBG-POL.
“Learn, educate yourselves and seize every opportunity to progress so that when you return to Croatia you can again devote yourselves to your primary task, and that is defence of Croatia, its people, territory, democratic government and constitutional system. Take care of yourselves. Protect the image and reputation of Croatia, build it up, and do not miss the chance to do it. We are proud of you and are waiting for you to return home,” President Milanović said at a ceremony held at the Bilogora Barracks in Bjelovar, where he saw off the 11th Croatian contingent to Poland to join NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence mission there.
Accompanying President Milanović were the Adviser to the President of the Republic for Defence and National Security Dragan Lozančić, Special Adviser to the President of the Republic for Homeland War Veterans Marijan Mareković and Head of the Military Office in the Cabinet for Defence and National Security in the Office of the President Rear Admiral Predrag Stipanović.
