President Milanović Receives Supreme Allied Commander Transformation General Lavigne
The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović received today the Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (NATO ACT) General Philippe Lavigne who is visiting the Republic of Croatia and the Croatian Armed Forces.
General Lavigne briefed President Milanović on the main activities of the Supreme Allied Command Transformation with an emphasis on preparations being carried out in support of the priority objectives of the NATO Secretary General for this year’s NATO summit in Vilnius, Lithuania. It especially deals with implementing NATO’s Warfighting Capstone Concept (NWCC) and providing expert assistance to NATO’S Digital Transformation process. Moreover, discussion included capability targets being implemented in the Croatian Armed Forces, and the current situation related to the war in Ukraine.
In addition to General Lavigne at the meeting with the President of the Republic were Executive Officer Colonel Arnaud Gary, Political Advisor Julien Deruffe, and Special Advisor Commander Brian Richards.
Alongside President Milanović were the Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces Admiral Robert Hranj, Commander of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence Brigadier General Michael Križanec, Colonel Branimir Tojčić, Advisor to the President for Defence and National Security Dragan Lozančić, and the Head of the Military Office in the Cabinet for Defence and National Security Rear Admiral Predrag Stipanović.
