President Milanović Receives Israeli Foreign Minister Cohen

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović received today the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel Eli Cohen, who is paying an Official visit to the Republic of Croatia.

At the meeting in the Office of the President of the Republic, they discussed bilateral relations, expressing satisfaction with the cooperation between the two states. They agreed that there is room for further advancing cooperation in many areas. Minister Cohen thanked Croatia for its constructive cooperation and support in multilateral organizations. They further discussed the situation in South East Europe including the status and position of the Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as the state of affairs in the Middle East. Minister Cohen conveyed President Herzog’s invitation to President Milanović to visit Israel, which the President of the Republic accepted.

Alongside the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel at the meeting in the Office of the President of the Republic were the Ambassador of the State of Israel to the Republic of Croatia Gary Koren, the Director of the Diplomatic Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Isreal Amrani Yosef, the Senior Adviser to the Minister Avidar Ohad, the Adviser to the Minister Gilady Guy Israel, the Director of the Department for Central Europe Sandra Simovich, Social Media Manager Neria Zukerman, Spokesperson Haiat Lior, and the Deputy Chief of Mission in the Embassy of the State of Israel to the Republic of Croatia Hadas Dolev.

Alongside President Milanović were the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to the State of Israel Vesela Mrđen Korać, the Adviser to the President for Foreign and European Policy Neven Pelicarić, the Adviser to the President for Defense Ivica Olujić, the Director-General of the Directorate-General for Political Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Petar Mihatov, and the Secretary of the Cabinet of Foreign and European Policy Ivan Mutavdžić.
