President Milanović Pays Tribute to Vukovar Victims

On the occasion of Remembrance Day for the Homeland War Victims and Remembrance Day for the Victims of Vukovar and Škabrnja, the President of the Republic and Commander in Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces Zoran Milanović paid tribute to the victims of Vukovar by laying a wreath and lighting a candle at the monument in the Memorial Cemetery of the Victims of the Homeland War and at the Memorial at the Mass Grave at Ovčara.

Alongside President Milanović at the wreath-laying and candle-lighting ceremony was the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Siniša Jurković, the Special Adviser to the President for Homeland War Veterans Marijan Mareković and the Staff Officer in the Military Office of the Cabinet for Defense and National Security of the Office of the President Colonel Ivica Kranjčević as well as the Mayor of Vukovar Ivan Penava and the President of the Council for the Defenders of the City of Vukovar Tomislav Josić.
