President Milanović Participating in Brdo-Brijuni Process Summit of Heads of State on Monday in Slovenia

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović will co-chair the 11th annual Brdo-Brijuni Process Summit on Monday, 12 September 2022 at Brdo Castle near Kranj, Slovenia.

Together with Slovenian President Borut Pahor, President Milanović will host the meeting at which the following leaders announced their attendance: the President of the Republic of Albania Bajram Begaj, members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić, Milorad Dodik and Šefik Džaferović, President of Montenegro Milo Đukanović, President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, President of the Republic of North Macedonia Stevo Pendarovski and the President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić.

Brdo-Brijuni Process Summits have been taking place for a number of years at the initiative of Croatia and Slovenia as European Union member states with the aim of advancing cooperation of South East Europe countries and stepping up the European integration of the countries in the region. Some of these countries are negotiating membership in the European Union and others have candidate status.

Ahead of the meeting, on Sunday evening Presidents Milanović and Pahor, as co-chairs of the Brdo-Brijuni Process, will hold a preparatory working meeting. A bilateral meeting between President Milanović and the President of the Republic of Albania Bajram Begaj is also foreseen.
