And it was defended by a small number of people,” the President of the Republic and Commander in Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces Zoran Milanović said in Dubrovnik after attending a ceremony held to mark Dubrovnik Defenders’ Day, which is observed annually on 6 December.
Earlier in the day and as part of the commemoration, President Milanović paid homage to the fallen Croatian defenders by laying a wreath and lighting a candle by the central monument at Boninovo Cemetery and at the cross on Mount Srđ.
