President Milanović Meets with Representatives of HVO Officers Corps Croatia

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović met today with members of the Croatian Defence Council (HVO) Officers Corps of the Republic of Croatia.

At the meeting, members of the HVO Officers Corps informed President Milanović of the problems faced by members of the Croatian Defence Council who live in the Republic of Croatia, especially the problem related to resolving their status. They also discussed ways to improve cooperation between all institutions that are involved in looking after the rights of veterans in the Republic of Croatia and in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The delegation of the Croatian Defence Council Officers Corps of the Republic of Croatia included: president Tomislav Tokić, honorary member retired Lieutenant General of the  Croatian Defence Council and Brigadier General of the Croatian Army Željko Šiljeg, vice president Marko Đapić, secretary Željko Komšić, members of the Officers Corps Ivo Palavra and Zvonko Zovko and the president of the Association of Members of Professional Units of the Croatian Defence Council Ivan Penava and the secretary of the Association of Members of Professional Units of the Croatian Defence Council Viktor Jurišić.

Alongside President Milanović was the Special Adviser to the President for Homeland War Veterans Marijan Mareković.
