President Milanović in Sveta Nedelja: Tap into European Funds, that’s your and our money
The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović attended today a special session of the Municipal Council of the Town of Sveta Nedelja. In congratulating the residents on Municipal Day, he told them that they have every right to be proud of their town because Sveta Nedelja is a town that possesses everything they need.
“Sveta Nedelja has developed into a very orderly and organized community and as such is a model of how things should look in Croatia, and there is very little of that – organized, communally equipped with all facilities and you have every right to boast of this today”, President Milanović noted, adding that “one can see that people take care of their property in Sveta Nedelja and they enjoy the support of a well-organized, small and technically capable local government”.
“I wish you to continue in this manner! Cooperate with people who have more experience than you. Soon there won’t be such people because experience is gained with work. Years go by and very soon you will be able to say that you are experienced and successful. Exchange experiences and tap into European funds because they are created from the thin money that has been distributed like helicopter airdrops in Europe these years, and money that is not backed by gold, as a rule, is money that will quickly become just paper. Take that because that is ours and yours”, President Milanović stated in concluding his address.
At the special session, public awards were presented to the individuals most deserving for the development of the town. Also speaking at the special session apart from President Milanović was the president of the Municipal Council of Sveta Nedelja Matej Vrdoljak, MP and mayor of Sveta Nedelja Dario Zurovec, mayor of the Town of Valpovo Matko Šutalo, deputy County prefect of Zagreb County Ervin Kolarec and MP and delegate of the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament Tomislav Klarić. Alongside President Milanović was the Adviser to the President for Education Jadranka Žarković.
