President Milanović Hosts Delegation from Croatian Exporters’ Association to Mark 20th Anniversary
The President of the Republic of Croatia Zoran Milanović received a delegation from the Croatian Exporters’ Association today at the Office of the President, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of this non-profit and non-governmental organization. The association was founded in 2004 at the initiative of leading businesspeople and major exporters, and it brings together companies and organizations that actively contribute to the promotion and development of Croatian exports, while representing the interests of domestic exporters in the global market.
During the meeting, the members of the delegation presented the key outcomes of the association’s work and the activities they are undertaking to improve the position of Croatian exporters. They particularly emphasized the importance of continuously monitoring the needs of domestic companies that place their products and services on international markets. They identified the lack of manpower as one of the biggest obstacles currently faced by companies in Croatia.
President Milanović emphasized the importance of continued support for exporters by ensuring a favourable business environment, implementing innovative policies, and enhancing the competitiveness of the Croatian economy.
According to data from 2023, Croatian exporters represent 16.3% of the total number of entrepreneurs in the country, totalling 25,516. Goods exports to foreign markets amounted to 33.5 billion euros. Although this represents a 4.2% decrease compared to 2022, exports remain a significant component of the Croatian economy.
The delegation from the Croatian Exporters’ Association included President Davor Baković, Plenipotentiary of the Deputy President Josip Škoro, Vice President Aleksandra Hadun Homar, Plenipotentiary of the Vice President Mario Grgurinović, Vice President Domagoj Matasić, Plenipotentiary of the Vice President Dino Ćoza Saršon, members of the Board of Directors Vanja Burul, Kruno Križan, Marko Jurman, Andrija Lalić, Slavko Vidović, and Zvonimir Viduka, Secretary Ljiljana Habunek, and Office Manager Nevenka Plivelić.
