The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović today received the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, Urška Klakočar Zupančič, who is paying an official visit to the Republic of Croatia.
“Today, I met with and spoke with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, Urška Klakočar Zupančič, who is paying an official visit to the Republic of Croatia. This was an opportunity to once again affirm with satisfaction the long-standing continuity of excellent relations between our two countries. The friendly state relations between Croatia and Slovenia are incredibly important, as this is what our people on both sides of the border – who have always lived in harmony – expect. Slovenia is Croatia’s best neighbour, and it would be wonderful if we could foster such relations with our other neighbouring countries,” President Milanović said after the meeting.
Accompanying the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia at the meeting were the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to the Republic of Croatia, Gašper Dovžan; Member of the National Assembly and Chair of the Friendship Group with the Republic of Croatia, Nataša Avšič Bogovič; Secretary of the National Assembly, Office of the Speaker of the National Assembly, Katja Mihelj Nagode; Secretary of the Department for International Affairs, Protocol, and Translation of the National Assembly, Staša Kobi Šmid; and Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in the Republic of Croatia, Miha Fatur.
Accompanying President Milanović were the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Croatia to the Republic of Slovenia, Boris Grigić; Head of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Bartol Šimunić; Adviser to the President of the Republic for Foreign and European Policy, Neven Pelicarić; Adviser to the President of the Republic for National Security, Dragan Lozančić; and Secretary of the Cabinet for Foreign and European Policy in the Office of the President of the Republic, Ivan Mutavdžić.
