President Milanović Attends Inauguration of New President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović
The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović attended on Saturday the inauguration of the new President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović. The inauguration ceremony was held in the Parliament of Montenegro in the capital Podgorica.
The new president of Montenegro Jakov Milatović took the oath of office before members of the Parliament of Montenegro after which he held his inaugural speech thus assuming the duties of president of Montenegro. After the session of the Parliament of Montenegro ended, a ceremonial gun salute was held for the new president in front of the building of the Parliament of Montenegro. A cocktail reception was held for all the guests attending the inauguration ceremony.
In addition to President Milanović in the Croatian delegation at the inauguration were the Head of the Office of the President of the Republic Orsat Miljenić, the Adviser to the President of the Republic for Foreign and European Policy Neven Pelicarić and the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Montenegro Veselko Gruibšić.
After the inauguration ceremony President Milanović will visit the Croats who live in Montenegro. The meeting with representatives of the Croatian community will take place in Donja Lastva, and his host will be the president of the Croatian National Council of Montenegro Zvonimir Deković.
