President Milanović Attends Croatian Armed Forces Chief of the General Staff Meeting
The President of the Republic and Commander in Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces Zoran Milanović attended on Tuesday an extended staff meeting of the Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces at the “Admiral flote Sveto Letica-Barba” Barracks in Split.
In addition to the Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Tihomir Kundid and the Director of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces Major General Krešo Tuškan, the commanders of the branches, command centres, and organizational units of the Croatian Army attended the meeting.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Tihomir Kundid and military commanders informed the President of the Republic and Commander in Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces about the tasks, staffing status, modernization and equipment, and all other activities within the Croatian Armed Forces. Additionally, they briefed him on the involvement of Croatian Armed Forces members in NATO, European Union, and UN operations and missions abroad, as well as their contributions to fire protection and other forms of civil institution support within the Republic of Croatia.
Attending the meeting alongside President Milanović were Orsat Miljenić, Head of the Office of the President of the Republic, Major General Ivica Olujić (retd), Adviser to the President of the Republic for Defense, and Brigadier General Ivica Kranjčević, Head of the Military Office in the Office of the President of the Republic.
