President Milanović Attends Croatia Championship Final Ice Hockey Game between Sisak and Medveščak

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović attended this evening the first final ice hockey game of the Championship of Croatia between the hockey clubs of Sisak and Medveščak Admiral played in the Zibel Ice Hall in Sisak.

Prior to the game President Milanović commented that he followed ice hockey in the pastj, and he described it as a “dynamic, difficult and potentially dangerous sport”. “He expects the game to be a heroic contest. I don’t follow ice hockey as I used to, and I did follow it once upon a time especially during the Gretzky era. It can be dangerous, one has to be careful. I expect a heroic contest”, President Milanović noted in Sisak before the game.

The first game of the final series was played in the Zibel Ice Hall, and the series, which is played until three wins, represents the key moment of the 2023-2024 hockey season for both clubs, one of which will raise the Croatian champion’s cup. In the first final game of the Championship of Croatia, Sisak won 3-1.
