The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović attended this evening the opening of a solo exhibition by one of Croatia’s most famous contemporary caricaturists, “Nik Titanik,” entitled “Mi Hrvati” [“We, the Croats”]. The exhibition was held at the Vladimir Filakovac Gallery, part of the Dubrava People’s University.

“Nik Titanik” is the nickname and pseudonym of Nikola Plečko, a caricaturist, illustrator, comic book artist, and graphic designer who is celebrating 30 years of his professional career with the exhibition “Mi Hrvati.” Gallery manager Svebor Vidmar, exhibition curator Sonja Švec Španjol, and the author Nikola Plečko, also known as “Nik Titanik,” spoke at the opening of the exhibition.

After the opening, President Milanović, accompanied by the author of the exhibition, Nikola Plečko – “Nik Titanik” – toured the exhibition where 18 of the latest caricatures were displayed. These caricatures depict the biggest Croatian stereotypes, as well as caricatures of all former Croatian presidents, including President Milanović.
