Office of the President notified the Interior Ministry about Milorad Dodik’s arrival, Andrej Plenković is manipulating when he claims otherwise
Prime Minister Andrej Plenković complained today that he did not know about the arrival of the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik in Croatia, on Hvar to be specific, where he held a working meeting with President Zoran Milanović. It is an expected, yet still rude manipulation on his part.
First the facts: The Office of the President of the Republic of Croatia notified the Interior Ministry of the Republic of Croatia and the competent Border Administration of the Interior Ministry about Mr. Dodik’s arrival. The Interior Ministry acted in line with procedure, ensuring and conducting a border check upon Mr. Dodik’s arrival in Croatia, given that he was coming from Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is not in the Schengen Area. Hence, everything was in line with procedure.
And then Andrej Plenković says he doesn’t know what the Interior Ministry knows, a ministry fully controlled by the HDZ. This is really an insult to common sense because Andrej Plenković has privatised and subordinated nearly every state institution, which we see on a daily basis. In a situation in which this information immediately reached even part of the media, who waited on Hvar with their cameras ready, only someone naive and unacquainted with Andrej Plenković’s model of governance – the model that was last felt on their own skin by the striking judicial employees whom Plenković arrogantly exhausted and dismissed just to show everyone who decides on everything – could believe that the Interior Ministry did not notify Andrej Plenković about Milorad Dodik’s arrival.
