Message of the President of the Republic on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica
The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović sent a message on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica. President Milanović noted: “The responsibility of each and every one of us is for the truth to be accepted and let the victims rest in peace. However, our even greater responsibility is to accept the families of the victims and the survivors as our equals, give them faith in the existence of those human and European values, and not keep them captive of the past. The Srebrenica victim must be one of the key and well learned lessons of European humaneness, credibility and sincerity.”
