Delegate of the President of the Republic for Francophonie Vanda Mikšić Participates in the Summit of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie

The delegate of the President of the Republic of Croatia Zoran Milanović, Vanda Mikšić, participated in the 19th Summit of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) held on Friday and Saturday in Villers-Cotterêts and Paris. The summit was opened by the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron, the Prime Minister of Tunisia Kamel Madouri, whose country formerly presided over the OIF, and OIF Secretary General Louise Mushikiwabo.

The summit gathered representatives of 88 member states, associate members and observers of the OIF, and the main theme of the 19th Francophonie summit was creation, innovation and entrepreneurship in the French language. This year, the Republic of Croatia celebrates the 20th anniversary of observer status at the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie, in which member states are united by the use of the French language, but also by the values ​​​​of peace, democracy, respect for human rights, and cultural and linguistic diversity.
