The exhibition in the Office of the President that was organized by the Croatian Architects’ Association and the Museum of Contemporary Art ended last weekend. It was open to the general public and the expert community, and all visitors had the opportunity to view the 2020 Annual Croatian Architects’ Works and “Vila Zagorje – povijest zagrebačke bele hiže na prekrižju” exhibitions, together with the new layout of the South Salon that was unveiled under the title “South Salon: 2021.”

The viewing of the exhibition and guided tours were made possible by the Croatian Architects’ Association. More than 700 people visited the Office of the President for this purpose. Among the guests were students of the Faculty of Architecture from Zagreb who came to the exhibition as part of their fieldwork.

Even after the end of the exhibition, the new, contemporary decor of the South Salon will remain in the Office of the President. The Office of the President has agreed on a long-term loan of the furniture and artwork in the South Salon with the Croatian Architects’ Association, the Museum of Contemporary Art and the authors of the exhibited artwork, at no expense to the Office of the President.

The contemporary spirit of the South Salon was achieved with the contemporary Croatian product design by internationally acclaimed brands Prostoria and Grupa, which were chosen for the new layout, and artists of different generations whose works are deemed an essential centrepiece of Croatian contemporary art. The art exhibition includes works from the 1970s to the present day with a selection by Juraj Dobrović, Ivan Picelj, Edita Schubert, Dujo Jurić, Silvije Vujičić and Ivana Franka.
