At Meeting with Prime Minister Rama, President Milanović Confirms Croatia’s Firm Support for Albania’s EU Accession
The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović held a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania Edi Rama, who is on an official visit to the Republic of Croatia.
At the meeting in the Office of the President, they discussed the cooperation between Croatia and Albania, agreeing that the relations between the two countries are highly friendly and good. President Milanović and Prime Minister Rama also discussed the security and political situation in Southeast Europe, and both leaders underscored that the preservation of peace and stability in the region is of high interest for both countries.
President Milanović today reiterated Croatia’s firm and continuous support to Albania’s European Union membership bid and confirmed to Prime Minister Rama that he would continue advocating Albania’s accession into the European Union as soon as possible, since the country is a long-standing reliable ally inside NATO.
