President of the Republic Receives Delegation of Alka Knights Society of Sinj

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović received a delegation of the Alka Knights Sociey of Sinj (VAD). As patron of the 305th Alka of Sinj knightly tournament, the Society’s representatives informed the President of the Republic of preparations for this year’s Alka competition scheduled for 9th August in Sinj.

The representatives of the VAD thanked the President of the Republic for his patronage and announced that the 305th Alka of Sinj will take place. They underlined the importance of the Alka of Sinj tournament for the town of Sinj and for the development of tourism in the entire Sinj area.

Attending the meeting with the President of the Republic besides the president of the Alka Knights Society of Sinj Stipe Jukić were the mayor of the town of Sinj Kristina Križanac, the guardian of the Sanctuary of the Miraculous Lady of Sinj friar Ante Čovo, the vice-president of the Alka Knights Society of Sinj Dinko Bošnjak, the Alka duke Boško Ramljak, the Society’s secretary Ivan Nasić, the chieftain Ivo Vukasović, the president of the Court of Honour Boško Vladović and a member of the Court of Honour Tomislav Župić.
