President of the Republic Dismisses Commissioner for Sports Željko Jovanović

Based on the provisions of Article 106 of the Constitution of the Republic of Croatia and Article 5, paragraph 1 of the Decision on the Office of the President of the Republic of Croatia, the President of the Republic of Croatia Zoran Milanović issued a Decision on the dismissal of the Commissioner of the President of the Republic for Sports Željko Jovanović on Wednesday, 15 May 2024. The Decision shall take immediate effect.

Given that Mr. Željko Jovanović’s mandate as a member of the Croatian Parliament is beginning, he cannot hold the office of the President’s Commissioner for Sports. Therefore the President of the Republic issued a Decision on his dismissal.
