President Milanović Attends Opening of 30th Annual Conference of Croatian Psychologists
The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović attended today the opening of the 30th annual conference of Croatian psychologists, under the auspices of the President of the Republic, and is entitled ““Role and Contribution of Psychology in a Sustainable Community”.
The conference, assembling some 400 psychologists and experts in other fields, is taking place from 8 to 11 November. This year, the Croatian Psychological Society is marking three important anniversaries: 70 years since the founding of the Croatian Psychological Society, 20 years since the adoption of the “Zakon o psihološkoj djelatnosti” (Law on Performance of Psychological Activity) and this special 30th anniversary annual conference.
Also speaking at the opening of the conference besides President Milanović were the president of the Croatian Psychological Society Josip Lopižić, the president of the Programme Committee Jasminka Despot Lučanin, the president of the European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations Christoph Steinebach, the president of the Chamber of Croatian Psychologists Dejvid Zombori, senior adviser in the Agency for Education Đudita Franko, Deputy Ombudswoman Tatjana Vlašić, special adviser to the Minister of Science and Education Josip Burušić, and deputy mayor of Zagreb Luka Forlaet.
Alongside President Milanović was the Adviser to the President for Education Jadranka Žarković.
