President Milanović Attends 28th Anniversary of Military and Police Operation “Flash” in Okučani
The President of the Republic and Commander in Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces Zoran Milanović attended a ceremony marking the 28th anniversary of the Military and Police Operation “Flash” in Okučani.
The President of the Republic and his delegation laid a wreath and lit a candle at the “Kristalna kocka vedrine” memorial (Crystal Cube of Serenity) in Dr. Franjo Tuđman Square. Following the wreath-laying, the names of the fifty-one defenders killed in the Military and Police Operation “Flash” were read. Msgr. Jure Bogdan, Military Ordinary, said a prayer for all the fallen Croatian defenders.
Accompanying the President of the Republic and Commander in Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces at the wreath-laying were the Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces Admiral Robert Hranj, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Siniša Jurković, the Commander of the Croatian Army Lieutenant General Boris Šerić, the Commander of Support Command Lieutenant General Mladen Fuzul, the Chief of the Intelligence Directorate Brigadier General Mijo Validžić, the Commander of the Operations Command of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces Brigadier General Ivan Turkalj, the Chief of the Staff – Deputy Commander of the Croatian Air Force Colonel Marinko Galović, the Commander of the Special Forces Command Colonel Ivan Miloš, the Adviser to the President for Defense Ivica Olujić, the Special Adviser to the President for Homeland War Veterans Marijan Mareković, the Aide-de-camp to the President of the Republic Colonel Vlado Čulina and the Officer for Operational Support of the Cabinet for Defense and National Security of the Office of the President Colonel Ivica Kranjčević.
