Greetings of the President of the Republic for Passover

The President of the Republic of Croatia Zoran Milanović extended greetings to the Jewish faithful on the occasion of Passover. It reads as follows:

“Passover is a holiday of hope and expectation whose symbolism has become part of the world spiritual legacy because it underlines and conveys at the same time the value of the freedom of every human being and all peoples. We are living in an age when these values are threatened and are witnessing how the possibility of living in peace and dignity is being taken away from people. That’s why we are obliged to speak even louder today and commit ourselves to mutual understanding and respect among peoples and nations.

In the hope that the achievement of peace, freedom and respect for human dignity all around the world is further possible, I send sincere greetings and best wishes to our citizens of the Jewish faith on the occasion of the greatest Jewish holiday of Passover.
