President Milanović Receives Organizers and Participants of 32^nd International Meeting of Winegrowers and Winemakers Sabatina 2022

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović received today representatives of the “Zadružni savez Dalmacije” (Cooperation Association of Dalmatia) and the “Hrvatski poljoprivredni zadružni savez” (Croatian Agricultural Cooperative Association), and participants of the 32^nd International Meeting of Winegrowers and Winemakers Sabatina 2022.

In early November the 32^nd International Meeting of Winegrowers and Winemakers Sabatina 2022 was organized in Vodice by the “Zadružni savez Dalmacije” and the “Hrvatski poljoprivredni zadružni savez” under the auspices of the President of the Republic. Companies, tradespeople and family farms presented at the fair their winegrowing and winemaking equipment, machines, tools, raw materials, protective agents, and other products and services associated to winegrowing and winemaking.

At the meeting with President Milanović there was talk of the significance of winegrowing for Croatia and its promotion in the world as well as of the problems the winegrowers and their cooperatives face today. Attending the meeting were the president of the “Zadružni savez Dalmacije” Lordan Ljubenkov, the project manager of the “Zadružni savez Dalmacije” Miranda Žitko Vulić, and the president of the wine evaluation commission from the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Zagreb Bernard Kozhina.

Introducing themselves to President Milanović were winegrowers and winemakers Sabatina 2022 champions: Anto Palihnić, winegrower of “Pelješki vinogradar d.o.o.”, Kuna Pelješka, Sabatina champion, best wine Plavac and best Croatian island product, adviser to the Management of “Iločki podrumi d.d.” (Iločki Cellars) Renato Krčmar, champion of semi-sweet, sweet, predicate and dessert wines and champion of white dry and semi-dry wines, Šime Škaulj and Tomislav Škaulj, Šime Škaulj family farm of Nadin, champion of red dry and semi-dry wines, Bartul Batistić and Sylvia Batistić Zure family farm of Lumbarda, best evaluated Pošip wine and Frano Baničević, Smokvica, Korčula, product design champion.

Alongside President Milanović were the Special Adviser to the President of the Republic for the Economy Velibor Mačkić and the Assistant Adviser to the President of the Republic for the Economy Martina Ciglević.
