President Milanović at International Prosciutto Fair in Tinjan: We’re too small to be content with being average, we must be above-average
The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović attended today in Tinjan the opening of the International Prosciutto Fair “ISAP 2022“ and told the hosts and the exhibitors to strive to be above-average in the production of prosciutto, because “this is a story in which a lot of know-how was invested and transformed into lucrative business”.
“The whole story and the whole project involving prosciutto have gone a long way. Forty years ago this was not a quality product. Today it is a premium product of exceptional added value with regard to what is invested and what the finished product is. We’re too small to allow ourselves to toy with averageness. We must be above-average. That product is not just anything – the prosciutto story is a big story, it is great quality and know-how slowly transformed into lucrative business. The state stands behind this and may it stand even more firmly”, President Milanović said in his address at the fair’s opening.
Greeting the exhibitors and their guests at the fair in addition to President Milanović were the Head of the Municipality of Tinjan Goran Hrvatin, Istria County-Prefect Boris Miletić and the State Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and the Prime Minister’s delegate Tugomir Majdak.
