Reaction of the Office of the President of the Republic on Statement of Mario Kapulica, Member of Parliamentary Home Affairs and National Security Committee

Abusing his position on the parliamentary Home Affairs and National Security Committee, Mario Kapulica decided today to give importance to himself and publicly interpret documents that have been made available to the Home Affairs and National Security Committee. And he has done so for one reason only – to confirm what his boss, Prime Minister Plenković says”.

In doing so he called out the President of the Republic who earlier advised caution in publicly interpreting matters of national security. For, if such alleged threats exist, then they should be the subject of serious talks by state institutions in charge of national security, such as the National Security Council. Kapulica publicly interprets the alleged documents which, if any, can be used only by state institutions in charge of national security. With his dilettante public statements he actually jeopardizes possible action by state institutions, which is reason enough to raise the issue of his removal from the Committee concerned.

Such political dilettantes, even if they end up in the Croatian Parliament by inertia of the HDZ party, can only have a place on an ingratiation committee to cover up corruption and crime. By sitting on the Home Affairs and National Security Committee, Kapulica is a direct threat to national security, greater than any of the alleged paramilitary groups.
