President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Arriving in Croatia for an Official Visit
The President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will pay an official visit to the Republic of Croatia, with his wife, on Thursday, 8 September. The Turkish President is arriving in Croatia for an official visit at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Croatia Zoran Milanović, with whom he will meet and speak at the Office of the President of the Republic on Thursday morning.
During the official visit of the Turkish President, several interstate agreements are scheduled to be signed, including memorandums of understanding between the Croatian and Turkish Ministries of the Interior on cooperation in ensuring public peace and order and cooperation in the field of disaster and emergency management. In the presence of Presidents Milanović and Erdoğan, the agreements will be signed by the Ministers of the Interior of Croatia and Türkiye.
Presidents Milanović and Erdoğan will address participants of the Croatian–Turkish Business Forum, which is being organized by the Club of Exporters and DEIK under the auspices of President Milanović. Seventy-five Turkish businessmen have confirmed their arrival at the Croatian–Turkish Business Forum, while as many as 160 businessmen are expected to attend from the Croatian side. At the Business Forum there will be representatives of the construction sector, energy, tourism, processing industry, pharmaceutical industry, agriculture, financial sector and other economic branches.
The two Presidents will also attend the official opening of the Islamic Cultural Centre in Sisak. During his official visit to Croatia, President Erdoğan will also meet with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia Andrej Plenković and lay a wreath at the Monument to the Homeland on Stjepan Radić Square in Zagreb.
