The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović toured CircuitMess company in Lučko where he held a meeting with the company’s management, and toured its premises.

During the meeting with President Milanović, company representatives including CEO and Co-Founder Albert Gajšak, sales manager Doris Brala and administrative assistant Ana Crnoja presented their company that is specialized in manufacturing electronic devices for general usage.

CircuitMess, founded in 2017, is a technology start-up from Croatia designed for STEM education, with DIY (do-it-yourself) products to be assembled. Their goal is to bring electronics and programming to the public in a fun and interesting way.

“When there will be more companies of this type in Croatia that profit from sales worldwide, the country will be stronger because fewer people will be employed who depend on political parties and connections. But talent and a lot of work is required”, President Milanović remarked after the meeting.

“Companies of this type that are completely independent of politics are few and far between. The whole atmosphere in Croatia is to blame since it does not stimulate competent people, and moulds them so as not to stray from the directed course”, President Milanović stated, adding that Croatia has made some progress, but does not grow at a satisfactory pace that would enable it to become a rich state in fifteen to twenty years’ time.

While touring the company premises, President Milanović talked to the employees comprised of young individuals who work on software and hardware development, and manufacture educational and fun electronic devices.

Accompanying President Milanović were the Special Adviser for the Economy Velibor Mačkić, the Adviser to the President for Education and the Assistant Adviser to the President for the Economy Martina Ciglević.
